Amber Boyers had a dream of creating sustainable fashion which is how she started her side hobby, Baiia Swimwear, all while working two other jobs to sustain herself.

Do you treat your business like a legitimate business or a side-hobby?

For Amber Boyer, her business, Baiia Swimwear, was her side hustle that was averaging $6,000 in sales every month. Working two other jobs while running Baiia meant that she never treated Baiia like a legitimate business, and never gave herself the permission to work on it as a legitimate business owner.

I was just letting things happen and I was just overwhelmed and almost burnt out, but I saw the potential that Baiia had.

Although Amber saw the potential in her business, she felt overwhelmed and burnt out from always being in ‘technician mode’. Due to holding two other jobs while growing her business meant that she was doing all the tasks herself and didn’t have the time, resources or guidance to determine what the best next steps were.

That’s where The Entourage came in.

How to go from a 6-figure business to 7 or even 8-figure business

Amber joined The Entourage’s Accelerate program in December 2018 with the hopes of gaining clarity on where she should be going and how she could get there. Through the 1-on-1 coaching and access to industry experts she received in the Accelerate program, Amber was able to quickly grow from the $6,000 revenue months to $60,000 before 12 months had passed.

The aspects of The Entourage that had the biggest impact I think for me were the coaches and the access to Vision Partners.

The accountability and guidance that Amber’s coach gave her allowed her to not only start to learn the specific strategies, structures, and systems that any business owner needs to know and implement, but also the confidence and self-belief to grow into the entrepreneur she always could be.

Stepping up as a leader in your business

With solid systems and processes in place, and having changed the structure of the business from sole trader to company to allow her to start paying herself properly, Amber was able to start crafting a company she’d always envisioned. She was able to hire 3 employees within 12 months of joining the Accelerate program, as well as have a new office space for her newly formed team too. This all allowed her to fulfill her personal missions and visions in life that live through Baiia Swimwear.

I would recommend The Entourage for anyone who has a business and who’s looking to grow. I think any kind of external assistance is something you need to be investing in if you have a business. If you’re not, you’re just slowing down your fast track to growth.

Through the business coaching, training, and community at The Entourage, Amber was able to develop the leadership and communication skills she always knew she needed, to help her continue to not only fast track her business but also her personal development as a business owner and leader.
