Changing the world by challenging the status quo in business

Daniel Flynn and the Co-Founders of Thankyou are changing the world through business. At 19-years-old, they started Thankyou as a social enterprise and a decade later they've been able to donate a massive $17 million to help end extreme poverty from the profits of the incredible products they sell. But for Daniel and his team, this journey hasn't been easy, especially as a 'for-purpose' business against the 'Goliaths' in the FMCG industry.

They've gone through multitudes of challenges, barriers, and hurdles over the past 13 years, and each time, they've harnessed the ability to think outside of the box, away from tradition, and achieve astronomical results. How have they been able to utilise mass consumer spending to channel it to those in need? What are the innovative strategies and mindsets they've used to get past the obstacles in their path? And what can any business owner do better when it comes to embedding true purpose into actual action, and not just have purpose "painted on the wall"?

This is a rollercoaster of an episode of The Make It Happen Show suited for a rollercoaster of a journey — take a listen if you too, want to break out of the mold and do the 'impossible', just as Daniel and Thankyou have.

Entourage on point again!

Great content again from The Entourage! Particularly like the 1st episode and the points Tim Fung made about making sure you make time to map out the future and don't get stuck on day to day 'work', as well as the observation that you really need to be strategic about your people management and not just try to save money. Two awesome take homes I have already taken action on!

For entrepreneurs and non-trepeneurs alike

Well this was one of the best things I’ve heard in a while. I’m by no means the target demographic, having zero business or entrepreneurial experience at all. Luckily the advice given for business growth and success is remarkably applicable to personal growth and success. Loved the conversational style, by the end of the podcast I felt like I knew both Tims personally, which is a great mark of engagement. And I loved hearing about the humble beginnings of Airtasker from the founder himself. Give this a listen if you’re craving a bit of personal or professional inspiration.
