The business started as a side project and creative outlet for Sarah while she had a full-time career as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer, but six months in she decided to take the leap and go full-time when the business caught the attention giant US retailer, Urban Outfitters.
Today, Matcha Maiden is stocked in over 1000+ stores worldwide and the brand also includes a trailblazing cafe, Matcha Mylkbar. Sarah exited the business in 2020 and now spends her time discussing her entrepreneurial journey through her website and forum, Spoonful Of Sarah, and runs a world-renowned podcast, Seize The Yay. She has also written her first book, also named Seize The Yay, an uplifting business and life guide for entrepreneurial millennials.
