3 years after starting his business, Scott Electrics, Scott McLaren felt like he had created a really good job for himself - but he didn’t feel like a business owner. While the business was ticking along well and in the 7-figure range, he was adamant he could make so much more of it. When COVID-19 hit, Scott’s business faced imminent closure - all his clients cancelled overnight, the work completely dried up and the phone stopped ringing. It was looking like he would have to stand down his whole team.

Scott spoke with his Business Coach, looking for advice on what to do and how to keep afloat of the crisis. His Coach encouraged him to go after a big contract that Scott hadn’t initially planned to secure until the end of the year. Using the strategies he had learnt from his coach and at various Sales training workshops, Scott secured the contract in 1 week, and he ended up having the largest month in the history of his business - at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Scott did $150,000 that month ($100,000 of which was profit), and was able to put all his team back on to work.

Now, Scott is consistently doing best month after best month, and has truly elevated out of the day-to-day of his business so he can act and lead like a true business owner.
