Before founding Where U?, Brandon was working as a local DJ and nightclub promoter. While the lifestyle looked exciting, financially it was unstable. Payments were inconsistent, cashflow was unpredictable, and long-term security felt out of reach.
What Brandon did have was a growing obsession with digital advertising, particularly Facebook ads, and a belief that this skill could be turned into a business. That curiosity became the foundation of his first agency, built around running ads for nightclubs and small businesses.
As demand increased, the agency grew quickly, but without focus. Brandon expanded into multiple offers at once: Done For You services, websites, hosting, and workshops.
I was good at growing revenue, but I wasn’t good at managing expenses.
While revenue climbed, profitability didn’t. Team costs ballooned, operations became convoluted, and the business lost financial clarity. Growth was happening - but in too many directions at once.
The turning point came during a confronting financial review.
We were up to like 200 or 250 thousand dollars in ATO debt.
It became clear that more growth wasn’t the answer... better growth was. After rejoining The Entourage through the Elevate Program, Brandon was challenged to simplify the business and focus on what was truly profitable.
The decision was decisive: stop selling what wasn’t working, and double down on a single, high-demand offer - Done With You workshops that teach business owners how to run their own Meta and Google Ads, supported by ongoing advisory.
We just stopped selling everything else and focused on one thing.
By committing to one offer and one primary acquisition channel, the business became easier to market, easier to deliver, and far more profitable.
The impact of simplification was dramatic.
We went from about a hundred K a month and losing money to a million dollars a month with 25% profit.
In the space of 12 months:
The business scaled to over $1 million in monthly revenue
Profit margins stabilised at ~25%
Enrolments surged as the offer became repeatable and scalable
In 2025, Brandon’s journey was recognised nationally when he won Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Marketing).
As the business stabilised and cashflow strengthened, success began to mean more than revenue alone. Brandon was able to help his father retire - a milestone that mattered far more to him than any financial metric.
At the same time, his relationship with the business changed. With clarity, structure and profitability in place, work became simpler and more enjoyable and no longer driven by stress or financial pressure.
